“It takes courage...to endure the sharp pains of self discovery rather than choose to take the dull pain of unconsciousness that would last the rest of our lives.’”
-Marianne Williamson
Happy Monday, folks. I hope you had a great weekend.
I realized this morning that I need a break. Although I haven’t published a lot here over the past couple weeks, I have been hard at it.

Business is good. And, since the beginning of the month, I’ve put a lot of effort into a new website, which I launched last week. Please check it out.
I have some audio to post from last week, for paid subscribers. Once I do that, I’m going to step away from Substack for a two or three weeks.
I need to get away. I need to finish some of these books I’ve been reading. I need to listen to more music. I need to get out of the house and get out into the world. I need to journal. I need to reconnect with myself.
What I’m reading
Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, by David Grann
Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life, by Anne Lamott
What I’m watching
The National Parks: America’s Best Idea, a film by Ken Burns
What I’m Listening to
b’lieve i’m goin down…, Kurt Vile
Thanks for reading
