Back in February, I turned 50. It seemed like a good time to reflect. Here is the final installment of my 50 Lessons in 50 Years.
41. “I’ll try” is bullshit.
Remember whatYoda said.
42. When I miss someone, it means I love them.
Love must exist for me to miss them.
(1-10)
43. Treating people with love makes my life better.
Whatever the question, love is the answer.
44. There is never a good reason for violence.
See number 43.
(11-20)
45. Happiness is a choice.
We get to decide.
46. (For the most part) nobody cares.
People are too caught up in their own lives to be overly concerned about mine.
(21-30)
47. Tears cleanse the soul.
When to weep is the appropriate response, I weep.
48. When it comes to love, if you don’t show it, it doesn’t count.
Praise them. Encourage them. Tell them you love them.
(31-40)
49. Life is sacred.
It’s up to each of us to treat it as such.
40. “Who am I” is the most important question I can ever ask.
When I started to pose this question to myself, I started gaining confidence and feeling more secure. Our lives are better when we know who we are.
Happy Friday, folks.
Number 50 is a nice segue to something I mentioned awhile back. I’ll be sharing aseries of journaling propmpts called The Path to Self. More on that later. Please keep an eye out.
If you listen to The Path to Authenticity, you may have noticed I’ve not been releasing episodes with regularity. I’ve decided to finish the handful of episodes currently in production, and hit the pause button on this show for the foreseeable future. I have a couple other projects that I want to focus on, and will continue to publish other content on the same rss feed.
That said, this week I released two new episodes. If you’re a paid subscriber, you may have already heard the unedited version of these interviews here, on The Podcast.
I hope you got something fromvthis series. Thanks for reading.
Have a great weekend, and be well.
